Why we say that›

Krishna's rescue of 16,100 women appears in Puranas but intent behind marriages does not.

The Narakasura kidnapping, rescue, and marriages hold in sources. The claim that Krishna married them specifically to slap society's doubts on chastity rests on asserted motive without evidence.

The facts don't add up to the point it's making

Marriages and killings are attested. The motive of slapping narrow-minded society and the divine leela label are interpretive leaps without evidence of intent.
